In Chapter 4: Turning Tables, When left to help Ryoga and Brenda Akane wanted to go as well only to be stopped by Soun. When the three returned it wasn’t long before they were swarmed by the others. After their usual antics Akane took Ryoga to get stitched up while Kasumi took Ranma. Ryoga began to introduce everyone to each other. He also explained why she was with him. Like with Ryoga after hearing Brenda’s story they didn’t hesitate to offer their help. As they were discussing sleeping arrangement Ryoga discovered that Happosai was back and attacked Ranma for allowing it to happen. Akane knowing that that they would be awhilr Akane took Brenda to her room. Brenda not knowing if Akane's room was representative of a normal one just thanked her for her hospitality. Akane just told her not to worry about it as not only was she happy to help, but was also happy to have another girl to talk to. Coming to terms with the fact that Ryoga didn’t have some hidden moment for helping her asked Akane why she was doing it the answer she got was that she needed help. After hearing that a tiny part of Brenda wondered if she would miss it, once she had succeeded in all her plans.

In Chapter 5: Cross Purposes, Akane was woken up the next morning by Nabiki who told her she had heard strange noises causing Akane to go and check on them. finding nothing she returned to tell Nabiki that everything was fine. After Nabiki left Akane began talking to Brenda but quickly noticed that her mind was elsewhere. Unaware that Nabiki was blackmailing her Akane thought she was just scared of the people after her and assured Brenda that everything would be fine. They were interrupted by Ranma coming to take Brenda to the Cat Café.

In Chapter 6: Interesting Times, Nabiki sold information about Brenda to everyone giving each of them different information. So when Akane came home to see Brenda and Kasumi watching observing the carnage she didn’t show any hesitation in diving into the fray herself. Soon it was all but impossible to even tell the pursuers from the pursued, as the various martial artists chased each other in circles all around the yard. Blades, bombs, bandannas, mallets, maces, ribbons, and more fighting techniques than Beneda's eyes could even begin to take in—all crashing together in a wild, chaotic scramble. After that, the remaining fighters had started to drop out one by one. Ranma and Ryouga were the last to cease hostilities—and in fact the two of them had seemed perfectly willing to keep pounding away at each other until the sun went down. It had taken some firm persuasion—applied in the form of a mallet and a giant spatula, respectively—to get them to finally let it go. The end result of it all was six extremely tired teenagers and one youma sitting in a loose circle in the yard, carrying on as much conversation as they had energy for.

In Chapter 7: Closing In, Knowing that skipping school again would doubtless have provoked yet another foray by their lunatic principal Ranma and Akane went to school. Their only comfort was Brenda informing them that any big attacks would almost certainly come at night anyway.

In Chapter 9: Caught Between, When Brenda informed them of what was happening after leaving asumi and their parents in the care of Kuno. Ranma, Ukyo, Akane, Beneda, and the injured Mousse made their way back to the dojo. Though the four were quickly outstripped by Ranma. Ukyo and Akane were the first to arrive with Brenda gasping behind them while Mousse came up somewhere behind her somehow, managing to keep pace with them, despite the damage he had sustained. Brenda immediately made her way to Ryoga who was propped up against one of the few walls that was still standing. Still not quite processing the reality she asked him how he was able to defeat the Darkmistress. Since Akane was there he glossed over turning in to P-Chan as he explained his escape.

By this point Mousse had caught up so Ryoga explained to everyone how the Darkmistress fought so they could figure out if she had any vulnerabilities. When he told them how she was able to change her appearance to Akane Brenda explained how it worked. However she was horrified seeing the five human warriors digest the information and any sense of relief she had was crushed as they felt having this information would make it easier to fighter her next time. Worried about Kasumi and the others they decided to go back to the school. Mousse was the first to bring up the fact that since the Dark Kingdom knew their location they couldn’t live at the dojo any longer. Ukyo offered to let everyone stay at her place.

Hours later after everyone had been moved to Ukyo's okonomiyaki shop. When Ranma went off to unpack the rest of the small defending force bustled around the large grill in the center of the room as Ukyo prepared dinner for them. While at the same time keeping up a conversation with Akane and occasionally yelling over at Ryouga to stop moving whenever he tried to get out of his seat and do something.

In Chapter 10: Shell Game, When Ukyo was contacting by Shampoo informing her that three girls and a cat showed up at the Nekohanten looking for them Brenda immediately realized it was the Sailor Senshi. Though they didn’t like it Brenda was able to convince everyone that she knew away to shield against the senshi ability to sense her, but needed to go get it alone.

In Chapter 11: Three Way, Upon returning to the restaurant Mousse informed Ukyo and Akane about what happened. Given that they had trouble with just one youma the two were horrified that Ranma and Ryoga were following around ten to twenty. They were ready to form a calvery only to be stopped by Mousse who refused to let them leave. Furious Ukyo accused him of trying to stall them so that he could have Shampoo to himself if Ranma dies. Mousse flinched a little, but refused to be baited. Shampoo’s sudden arrival caused Mousse to turn around, he’d realized he’d been tricked just as Ukyo knocked him out. She dragged his unconscious body back into the building, while Akane found Kasumi and told her to wake Mousse up once the two girls had gotten far enough away. With that, the two girls darted off, each in their own direction.

In Chapter 12: Full Measure, After Tofu incapacitated Sailor Mars Brenda fled with Ryoga Tuxedo Kamen ran after the retreating pair, but before he could catch up to them, Akane dashed out of the alley and launched herself toward him in a flying kick. He caught the attack easily on his cane, and then the weapon extended to drive into her stomach, sending her flying back in the direction she had come. But doing so cost him valuable time, allowing the Ranma to reach the alleyway, and he even managed to catch the Akane with his free arm in the process. Tuxedo Kamen followed after them only to be incapacitated by Tofu as well.

In Chapter 13: Rock Bottom, Brenda was practically catatonic when they made it back to the clinic. Akane sat nearby, at Ryouga's bedside. No one spoke. The lost boy's condition weighed too heavily on them. She finally moved when Ukyo burst into the room to check up on Ryoga. Brenda flinched as she saw his body unable to forget the injuries that lay under the mass of bandages or how he got them. Akane explained to Ukyo what happened. Brenda just felt more and more guilt as she listened to Akane’s explination. Since there was nothing they could do they could only hope that Ryoga was tough enough to survive. She was brought out of her state again, by Ukyo asking if she was okay. They weren’t convinced by her weak attempts to claim she was fine, but their concern just made her feel worse. Eventually she couldn’t take it any more and screamed for them to stop. She admitted what she did and called them stupid for believing. During her rant Ryoga woke up realizing that he had heard everything she said with a strangled sob, she turned and sprinted for the nearest window. She plowed through the glass, leaping out of the second-story room and into the streets beyond.

Stunned silence held the room in its grip for several seconds after Beneda's abrupt departure. Ukyo clutched at her side, fighting back the pain of the injury as she tried to process what had just happened, and what it meant. Akane was the first to shake herself out of her stupor, and she immediately ran to the window. She leaped out the window, dropping down to the streets below and running in the direction they had seen Beneda go. Ukyo, for her part, turned to look down at Ryouga whose eyes were open, but not quite focused on anything, his head swaying back and forth as he fought to hold it off the bed. Telling him to stay put she went to go get Doctor Tofu.

Despite his injuries Ryoga ran after Brenda and though everyone spread out they couldn’t find either of them. Even after Tofu called Ucchan's to get more eyes out there no one found anything. So they were surprised when Brenda returned to the clinic with a sleeping Ryouga slung across her back. No one said anything for a long time, nor did Beneda meet their eyes. Akane told her to bring him inside while she went to go get Tofu. Just as she reached the door Ranma told her to someone calls Ukyo before saying how lucky he was that she came across him.

In Chapter 14: Making Plans, Once everyone gathered together again Brenda told them everything. This new information caused everyone to think they could join the Senshi to stop the Dark Kingdom together. Brenda shot that down explaining that the Kingdom just didn’t know where they were which is why they haven’t been destroyed. The Dark Kingdom knew where they were so would come after them especially since Ranma defeated a Dark General. Seeing her start to panic Ranma calmed her down by telling that they just wouldn’t give them a straight fight. He planned on just going with Brenda’s initial deception and let them continue to believe that the group was some evil force needed to be defeated.

As Brenda looked at everyone like she was questioning their sanity. The others quickly quickly came on board. Shampoo suggested that Cologne had a number of magical items that could be used. Even Akane, to Ryouga's mild dismay, seemed to be on board with the idea. Though Ryoga didn’t like it he didn’t have any idea’s himself he reluctantly agreed as well. Ukyo was the first to ask how they were going to survive long enough to enact their plan. This brought the conversation to Darkmistress. Since Brenda didn’t see that part of his fight she asked Ranma who he saw. Ukyo, Akane, and Shampoo quickly pounced on the question. Beneda watched the unfolding rampage, her eyes wide, her jaw hanging open. Ryoga had to content himself with watching the chase, and adding another entry to his list of things to beat Ranma up over once he regained the ability to stand.

Later Akane went to Gosunkugi’s to ask for his aid do to his knowledge of magic. Gosunkugi didn’t even give her a chance to explain before agreeing to help her. Thanking him she went inside so that they could explain in detail what was going on.

In Chapter 15: Keeping Secrets, Returning to the clinic Akane was grabbed by Shampoo who sprinted to the nearest hiding place before Ami who had come to learn about pressure points could see them. Ami attempted to see what that sound was, but Genma who was posing as Tofu acted like nothing happened before immediately moving to answer she question. Genma quickly proved while his own style was a mainly a striking art, he had picked up enough knowledge on related subjects during his martial arts training to make what he said at least sound fairly impressive. Unfortunately they were once again interrupted by someone the senshi might recognize this time Ranma.

Shampoo slammed the door she and Akane were hiding behind with all her might into Ranma’s face while at the same time she and Akane dove for different hiding place. Unfortunately she dove behind Ryoga so as she winced at Genma’s terrible excuse for what just happened the sheet covering him started to fall off. Genma stopped Ami from touching it by explaining that the patient was undergoing a complicated procedure. Then hearing Ranma’s angry return he quickly splashed him with water as he entered. Leaving Ami to wonder what was going on.

Referring to Ranma as his daughter Akane he explained who Ami was and why she was there. Ranma finally realizing what was going on went along with it. He went a little to in his self deprivation causing Akane to glare at him. Ranma could actually feel the killing intent wafting off of her. However once again someone else this time Mousse. Oblivious to Ranma's panic, Mousse landed on the sink and turned on the hot water with his beak, resuming his human form. Ami quickly turned around and stared at the wall as Genma explained that the naked man was Akane’s fiancé Ranma. Reluctantly Mousse apologized as he thought he would be alone with his darling Akane. Seeing how embarrassed Ami was Ranma grabbed a sheet to cover Mousse up. The first one turned out to be Ryoga which he quickly covered, the second an unconscious Tofu. He finally found a hiding, glaring Akane who handed him a sheet.

With Mousse no longer naked Ami remarked how he had the same name of of another Ranma. This caused Mousse to go into a tirade about the reprehensible man that shared his name. he went on so long that eventually Ranma distracted Ami to give him an opportunity to attack Mousse. Trying to distract Ami from the killing intent the two were giving off as well as give Shampoo and Akane a chance to move Genma pretended to perform Shiatsu massage on Ami after claiming she looked stress. Akane and Shampoo crept out of their hiding places, taking care to stay behind the Senshi, and proceeded to sneak safely out of the room.

Later Ryoga Akane, Ukyo, Beneda, Shampoo, Mousse and Ranma had gathered together. While Akane was worried that Ami would get suspicious Mousse wasn’t as nothing they did would lead to a connection with her enemies. Though Shampoo suggested that she culd use the Xi Fa Xiang Gao. Ryoga wondered if it would be best if they just told the senshi the truth. However Ranma was against it stating that while the senshi seemed like good people they were still youma hunters so they didn’t know what they would do. Secondly they didn’t know how good of actors they were and they still needed to fight the Dark Kingdom.

In Chapter 17: Dark Lords, Akane looked around at the drastic changes done to the décor of the gym impressed at what everyone had done. When Ranma explained that they still had a lot more to do Akane asked him if he got the Principles permission, he just smiled and said they did. Later when Kodachi stole the bowl Akane attempted to ambush her. Kodachi narrowly evaded her attack before flipping away. Akane quickly gave chase followed by Ukyo and Brenda. Kodachi bolted to the exit only to be stopped by Shampoo. Kodachi hurls the bowl to the ground causing the three to dive to save it. However Kodachi merely used that as an excuse to dose them all with paralysis power. Brenda was the only one unaffected so Kodachi attacked her and used the opportunity of her dodging to grab the bowl and escape. Ukyo was quick to tell Brenda not to worry about them and to just go get Kodachi.

In Chapter 18: Joining Forces, Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo split up to have a better chance of the youma and the psychotic gymnast. Figuring that Kodachi would head home Akane headed that way. However all she found there was Tatewaki. While inwardly grinding her teeth at having to butter up the older boy Akane asked him for help in finding his sister. Luckily the enamored kendoist did not disappoint her. The two tore through Kodachi’s room, before searching the house from top to bottom but couldn’t find either Kodachi or the bowl.

Realizing there was little time before she had to meet up with the others Akane told Kuno that if he finds Kodachi to bring the bowl to Furinkan. A little surprised at the violence of her search Kuno asked offered to go with her, which Akane quickly refused. And with that, she turned and darted away as fast as she could.

In Chapter 19: Death Duel, Returning to the school the three discussed what they were going to do. With no way of finding Kodachi they decided it was best to help Ranma and Ryoga. Before they could put actions to words Shampoo presented them both with costumes she had made just in case something like this had happened. After getting dressed a they arrived just in time to rescue Ranma and Ryoga from being ambushed by the Senshi and the DD Girls.

In Chapter 20: Throw Down, Akane was dressed in angry red robes, her face covered by a wooden demon mask whose comically-deformed features were locked into a perpetual snarl of apoplectic fury. There were symbols sewn into the fabric of her robe as well, of humans dying in agony as they clutched at their throats or their stomachs. Ryoga simply gapped at the three while Ranma after stopping himself from laughing he told the three to get to safety causing an argument between him and Akane. While the Senshi’s gapped wondering what was going on the DD Girls attacked.

It was complete pandemonium. It could hardly be called a "fight", really—everyone was simply trying to dodge their way to some measure of cover, while simultaneously attacking their enemies as best they could. Violent, raging bedlam was unleashed across the cafeteria. The allied Senshi and youma still had the numbers advantage, and were able to put more firepower into the air. Their foes fell back under the assault... but the balance had shifted now. The Dark Lords' retreat was no longer the desperate flight it had been, but rather an unhurried regrouping. The fighters were pulling together, even as they moved to a more secure position. Slowly they made their way to the hole Akane, Shampoo and Ukyo had created.

The DD Girls tried to stop them only to be stopped by Mars who recognized Shampoo and figured that she was being controlled. The DD Girls used this as an excuse to cancel their alliance. The Senshi were rescued by Ranma choosing that moment to attack. As Ranma fought off the four DD Girls, Ryouga rejoining the fray too, with Shampoo and Akane, and Ukyo not far behind. With no other choice the leader of the DD Girls agreed not to hurt Shampoo.

The three were working together to fight off a DD Girl when Akane was pulled away by Ukyo. As she was wondering what was going on when she was thrown at Sailor Mars. Sailor Mars slammed her fingertips together, trying to snap off another attack, but Akane was on her before she could react to the sudden course change. She grabbed her opponent by the wrists in mid-flight, wrenching her hands apart, and then crashed straight into the Senshi in a shoulder tackle. The two of them went sprawling, rolling over one another, with Akane ending up on top.

While Mars proved stronger then she looked Akane has more experience with leverage so quickly gained the upper hand. With great effort Mars was able to put her wrist together and fire a blast. Akane, however, had jumped clear in time, scrambling backward allowing Sailor Mars to jump to her feet and fire a more concentrated blast. No other recourse Akane hurled herself through one of the windows and into an adjacent classroom.

Taking a few quick twists and turns in an effort to throw the Senshi off her trail, Akane soon found her path blocked by a sea of mist, of all things. Puzzled, she halted for a moment. Then, without warning, Ukyo leaped out of the fog, nearly colliding with her. She soon found Shampoo as well. Both girls were a mess as the battle turned against them once Tuxedo Mask joined. The three decided to switch opponents Shampoo went after Mercury while Ukyo went after Mars leaving Mask and Moon to Akane.

Unfortunately Shampoo was a much better fighter then Akane and Tuxedo Mask had no reason to hold back against her. Not to mention Sailor Moon repeatedly taking potshots at her. Every time she tried to stop her she was prevented by Mask. Luckily she was rescued by Kuno who mistook Mask attack as a sign of his affection. Caught off guard by this leap in logic Mask was unprepared when Kuno attacked him. This finally allowed Akane to deal with Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon frantically tried not to get hit as Akane methodically drove the Senshi into a position where she could force her to the ground, pinning her there with an armlock and a knee resting on her back. By this point Shampoo and Ukyo had defeated their respective Senshi. So when Tuxedo Mask returned they took him on.

In Chapter 21: War Dance, When Sailor Moon stopped struggling and began crying without restraint Akane realized that seeing Ukyo and Shampoo made her think that they had killed Sailor Mars and Mercury. The two quickly put two and two together when she asked them if they’d captured the other Senshi. Moon’s mind was quickly put at ease upon hearing Ukyo’s affirmation. Shampoo meanwhile warned Tuxedo Kamen not to move using the fact that they had Moon hostage as a way to stall to keep things going while they tried to work something out. the stalemate was interrupted by the arrival of Ranma informing the group that everything was ready and they could begin the ceremony. In desperation Mask tried to attack while his opponents were distracted by the news. While his roses were either deflected or dodged, he was surprised when Ranma retreated and Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo backed off and entered fighting stances. With no other options Mask told Moon to go after Ranma while he deal with the others.

In Chapter 22: Final Stand, After Moon destroyed the bowl and the recording of Kasumi stating that the building was about to blow up, Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo watched as they found each other and ran for the exit. They then made their way to the trap door to inform Ranma that his plan would work. With that Ranma lit the fuse to bombs he had scattered around the gym for show. Unfortunately while they should have been safe in trapped door it turned out that when Ranma asked for more explosions when they were setting up Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo all thought he were talking to them. Also by this point Brenda still suspicious of Gosunkugi’s motives asked Ranma to look at the blue prints. Ranma asked the others what a gas main was and seeing their faces pale he leaped across the room to shield Brenda just as the explosion started.

In Chapter 23: Wrapping Up, Akane was helping to repair the dojo when Eludin arrived posing as a reporter. Introducing herself she asked Akane about the strange events a few days ago. Akane informed her the past few months are a blank to her with only bits and pieces of memories popping up at times. Later She, Ranma, Ryoga, Brenda and Ukyo were summoned to the Nekohanten Cologne. As they waited Ranma told the Joketsuzoku warriors sitting and standing everywhere, many of them wearing slings, bandages and other medical aids what happened during the fight against explaining how he came up with the Dark Lord plan using the principle of the Saotome Secret Technique to them.

They were interrupted by Cologne as they were figuring out what to do next. She informed the group that they were done fighting for the moment and to let the Senshi handle things since it was there duty. After Ranma and Cologne finished arguing over the best course of action regarding the Senshi and the Dark Kingdom. The room broke up into smaller conversations.

With the completion of Ranma's plan everyone's attention had turned to resting and recovery from what they had gone through. Repairs to the Tendo home were proceeding apace, as well as to the school they had so unceremoniously "borrowed". Everyone was also recovering on the personal side as well. Ryouga was up and around again, showing little sign anymore of being hindered by his wounds. The other fighters had healed up as well, though some of the cuts Zoisite had given Mousse had gotten infected by the boy's subsequent dip in the sewer. Doctor Tofu was currently treating him for that as well. Aside from Mousse, Shampoo and Cologne, though, the Joketsuzoku army had mostly pulled out of Nerima for the time being, heading back to China to heal, train and prepare away from Dark Kingdom eyes.

Brenda was left feeling unbelievably surreal and ended up asking the group what to do now that she was human. They explained school, employment, love, hobbies and martial arts to her. At this point Tofu entered the room and offered to take Brenda on as an apprentice. Ranma, Akane and Ryoga’s eyes widened, and Beneda realized that this was a great honor that the acupressure master was offering her. given her fascination with healing the choice was such an easy one to make.

In Chapter 24: Epilogue, Akane was watching Jadeite challenge the Sailor Scouts to a final battle on the tv with P-chan when they were joined by Ranma and Brenda.

In Chapter 2: Converging, When Akane received a call at the Tendo Dojo from Cologne she Genma and Soun made their way to the Nekohaten. Though she though she herself prepared she was shocked upon actually seeing the sheer scale of the force gathered. The fathers were equally as shocked and began fidgeting. She was called over by Ukyo who was sitting with all the other martial artist that Cologne had called. Ukyo and Akane initially thought that it was Cologne. Ukyo and Shampoo informed Akane who wasn’t apart of the group such as Kumon Ryu, Happosai and Pantyhose Taro. When Akane asked where Ranma was Ryoga informed her that he was inside. Akane found Ranma talking strategy with Kiima and much to her surprise he was shocked that she was there. When she told him that Cologne called her just like the others. He ran over to a nearby window looking out across the crowd below. After a few seconds and demanded to know where Cologne was.

After the army finished training Akane returned home only to find Genma and Soun gone. When Ranma returned she asked him about it he told her that Soun had gone to for more reinforcements. Akane gave Ranma a sad look as Ryoga had already told her that Soun had joined the scouting teams. To make sure there were no youma in the area. Realizing that she knew Ranma told her that he didn’t want her apart of this battle. Akane’s reply was that she knew but that it was to important for her not to be involved. After a moment of awkward silence the two went to bed.

In Chapter Three: Assault, The youma unyieldingly swarmed at the human lines, kicking slashing, biting, shooting. They were terrifyingly strong and deadly, but they lacked anything resembling teamwork, discipline and coordination. That was the one edge the human armies had, and with it they were managing to hold this part of the line together. Unfortunately all that changed when the red-skinned youma arrived with a single swing of her sword she began slicing Akane’s allies to pieces. She was just about to turn to Akane herself when she was attacked by Kuno. Everywhere Akane looked new youma were joining the fray, far more deadly than any they had yet faced, and the casualties were mounting. It was taking every fighter they had just to hang on—and that only barely leaving Kuno and the youma to fight alone.

It quickly became apparent that Kuno just wasn’t a match for the youma, every exchange they made left him more and more injured. Despite this he refused to back down and kept fighting. Seeing the youma about to kill Kuno Akane rushed to his aid, but before she got anywhere near close enough the monster whirled around with a slash. Akane was able to dodge in time and the distraction gave Kuno a chance to attack. While he forced himself to his feet he could barely stand. Akane attempted to draw the monster's attention away from Kuno, and while it worked she wasn’t fast enough to dodge her attack this time. Right before the youma’s blade stabbed into her face Kuno stepped into the way. With its blade stuck in his chest Kuno used the last of his strength to kill the youma. A horrified Akane made a hopeless attempt to staunch the flow of blood from the wound.

Kuno attempted to ease her by saying he had no regrets as he did it for their love, but that just made Akane fill worse. Guilt consuming her she leaned down and kissed him. When their lips parted Kuno knew she didn’t love him as he couldn’t feel the passion in her lips. However he still had no regret despite realizing she didn’t love him he was glad to have known her. After thanking Akane for allowing him to experience her passion he died. Her emotions in turmoil, and her spirit shredded, Akane charged back into the fray, throwing herself into the battle with newfound fury. Even though it was obvious that they were losing with what remained of her group having pulled itself into a circle, with youma coming at them from every direction. They fought on, striking out left and right at the growing press of monsters surrounding them.

Akane whirled, in time to see a small metal spatula tear through the throat of a youma she hadn't noticed jumping through the air at her from behind. The next moment, Ukyo, Shampoo and Kodachi burst through the surrounding monsters to join up with the remnants of Akane's group. Ukyo informed her that this was the last place they could reach as the enemy was too numerous to make back to the main group. While Akane knew this hearing it out loud gave it a whole different reality. For what felt like an eternity, but probably didn't last even a full minute. Ally after ally fell around them, until at last it was only Akane, Shampoo, Ukyo and Kodachi. The four of them pulled in to form a box, shoulder against shoulder, striking out in every direction. Together, fighting with the strength of desperation, they stood against the endless tide of monsters, even with all hope gone, even though they knew they were seconds away from being overwhelmed.

In Chapter 4: Remembrance, Brenda gathered everyone together to explain why they were being plagued by strange dreams and déjà vu. Much to Nabiki’s surprise Ryoga, Ranma, and Akane actually believed this strange woman. Akane even compared it to how she felt while under Xi Fa Xiang Gao. Ranma asked Brenda to keep telling them what happened while they performed meditation techniques in an effort to trigger memories. Ryoga was the first to regain his memories causing the youma to lung forward impulsively to wrap the lost boy in a hug and bury her face in his chest. Akane was the next to regain her memories, pulling on her previous experience at breaking free of the Xi Fa Xiang Gao to do much the same thing again. Ranma followed shortly thereafter. But no matter how hard they tried, they were unable to convince Nabiki, Kasumi or their fathers to even make the attempt, much less break through the memory blocks.

Kasumi, at least, seemed to agree that it wasn't all some elaborate trick, although Ranma got the feeling she did so more out of politeness than anything else. Nabiki was openly scornful, suggesting that they were the victims of some hallucinogenic magic product, as per one of their usual escapades. Soun and Genma more or less avoided the question altogether, making Ranma wonder if the two martial artists were truly as free of the flashes of déjà vu as they claimed to be.

In the end, the four of them were left alone, sitting around Tendo koi pond. Mostly they were silent, as they tried to acclimate themselves to the better part of a year's worth of experiences now returned to them. Akane asking when Akari was going to show up caused Ranma to realize that they had advanced knowledge of what was going to happen the following year. Of course, to really make the most of their advance knowledge they would have had to keep the information amongst themselves. But tempting though it might have been they knew that at least the other participants in the final battle deserved to remember the legend-worthy feat they had all helped accomplish. Accordingly, they began to spread the knowledge from person to person, working to uncover each person's memories as Beneda had with them. The difficulty of doing so varied greatly, and they never quite figured out a pattern for which people would have more trouble than others. No one knew for certain why some people remembered so easily, while others never could. But whatever the cause, one effect was constant: they never managed to arouse more than the briefest flickers of déjà vu from anyone who was not among the martial artists that had participated in the assault on the Dark Kingdom.

When the time came to rescue Konatsu knowing how tricky Kotetsu, Kome, and Koeda could be Ukyo asked Ranma, Akane, Kuno, Mousse and Shampoo for aid. The actual rescue of Konatsu went off with only one or two minor catastrophes—which by Nerima standards meant that it was a smashing success. When all the dust had finally settled Konatsu's memory had been restored, his stepfamily pounded into unconsciousness multiple times, and his employment at Ucchan's blissfully reinstated. It was cause for celebration, and celebrate they did. The ninja had been the final member of the Nerima participants in the battle of the Dark Kingdom left unreminded of what had happened. With the task of remembrance complete, it now became a matter of moving forward into the future. Armed with their original memories of the coming months, of course.

However while most of the planet forgot the events of the rewound time, all nine tribes that had taken part in the battle still remembered, and had seen Ranma strike the decisive blow that had annihilated most of the youma army. From them, his renown began to slowly spread through the greater martial arts world, and he and his friends began to find themselves caught up in battles, challenges and pleas for aid with a notably greater frequency and danger than even they were used to. Ranma still haunted by nightmares of what had happened to Akane in the Dark Kingdom was vehemently opposed to her involving herself, but she was just as stubborn in her insistence on helping. Their disagreements on the matter typically escalated into shouting matches that ended in one of them storming off in a huff. Or sometimes sent flying, on the occasions when Ranma's tendency to fall back to insults really got the better of him. All in all, it was getting nowhere fast. Luckily Ranma was not the only one who noticed that Akane was increasingly out of her depth for the danger she was facing.

Akane would make increasingly frequent trips to the Nekohanten to fight Shampoo. She unvaryingly returned from them bruised and bloody, much to Ranma's distress. He tried his best to convince them to stop, but to his surprise neither girl would listen to him on the matter.

Jing-Wei was a member of the Phoenix People whose life Ranma saved from a youma during the chaos of battle in the Dark Kingdom. The experience had still been enough for her to have the (utterly predictable) reaction of falling head over heels in love with Ranma anyway. Unfortunately Jing-Wei made the mistake of boasting how she was going to win Ranma's affections with a magical trinket she had found somewhere, resulting in most of the Nerima regulars learning of its capabilities as well.

During the free for all Akane attempted to keep Shampoo from using the locket on Ranma. However she proved to be no match for the Amazon. Shampoo never once used any technique other than a kick off that single leg, and she never once interrupted the steady rhythm of throwing and catching the locket. Again and again Akane was knocked down. Again and again she kept climbing back to her feet. Each time, she felt a tiny bit closer to seeing through Shampoo's feint, but each time it remained frustratingly out of reach. It quickly became apparent that Shampoo was subtly showing Akane how to improve her Sixth Sense. In the end while Akane couldn’t defeat Shampoo she did improve. As the Chinese girl turned and walked off Akane thanked her, to which Shampoo replied with ignorance stating that if Akane enjoyed being beat up she could come challenge her at the Nekohanten.

Of course, events in Nerima holding true to form, no one got exactly what they wanted from the magical locket. After a day filled with frantic back-and-forth running, fighting, plotting and theft, it was a recovered Jing-Wei who used the locket's power in the end... but ended up using it on Konatsu by accident. After the spell-enforced "three perfect dates" were over she left again, distraught. Especially since—as they only realized after the fact—no one had thought to mention to her that Konatsu was actually a boy.

Kuno largely kept his distance since he regained his memories of the Dark Kingdom battle. On the occasions they he saw Akane he was polite, but also withdrawn. Their conversations were usually brief, and Akane didn't want to force matters in such a situation. So it was with a bit of surprise that she found Kuno standing outside the door of the Tendo home, requesting to speak with her. His regained memories allowed him to see his past actions in a new light causing him to realize that Akane didn’t welcome his advancements. A shocked Akane confirmed his assessment giving the confused Kuno the advised that instead of trying to communicate his feelings through combat he should at least try to get a girl to like him personally. While he didn’t fully comprehend he heeded her words. Before he left he asked about the pigtailed girls whereabouts as he suspected she also shared Akane’s feeling on the matter.

When Ranma received a summons from Kuno asking her to met him at the school. Not wanting another bouquet chucked at her she was going to blow him off if not for Akane insisting that it might be important. When Kasumi pointed out how long Ranma had been gone Akane left look for him. she found him bruised and bandaged on the roof. Initially afraid that a new enemy had attack Ranma calmed her down by informing that Akari showed ahead of schedule and everything went to hell when he tried to meet her up with Ryoga again. Ranma had Akane promise that whatever happens... or however long it takes to get everything sorted out that they don't end up like Ryouga and Akari did. Afterwards the two of them sat together in uncomfortable embarrassment, not saying anything further. After what seemed like forever, Akane slowly allowed her hand to creep out, holding it open on the rooftop between the two of them. She didn't look down at it, but after a few moments she felt Ranma's hand on top of hers, taking hold. Their fingers interlinked tightly, holding onto each other as they sat there in silence, watching the bloody sunset as day fell inexorably toward night.

After a bad incident with a boyfriend back during their senior year Akane urged Yuka to earn at least some basic self-defense. Though she had been resistant at first, eventually she agreed to a few private lessons at the Tendo dojo. To her surprise, she enjoyed it immensely. To Akane's surprise, once word started to get out about their lessons, Yuka was not the only one who wanted them. Even though the excesses of the "dating challenges" on her way to school had long since died down, she still had many admirers among her classmates, both romantic and non-romantic. And after talking it over with her father, he had given her his blessing to open the Tendo dojo to outside students.

In Chapter One: Before the Storm, Akane was just finishing up a class when she was attacked by Shampoo something that had been happening for the past month. Akane’s skill had grown to the point where she to mount a fully successful defense to the sneak attack. Despite this she still proved no match for Shampoo. However Akane quickly noticed something off with Shampoo’s post match gloating and when she asked her what was wrong Shampoo admitted that she saw Akane’s date with Ranma in the park two days ago. Despite herself, Akane tensed at hearing this. The conversation moved to Shampoo's Joketsuzoku obligation. Akane’s only response to this was that she wouldn’t let anyone die she’d sooner call the engagement off before that happened. Filled with bitterness and regret Shampoo just called Akane soft and reminded her that obstacles were for killing. This Akane did have a response for reminding Shampoo that she saved her life three times. Shampoo had no answer to that. The silence stretched on, until finally the Chinese girl released Akane from the headlock and shoved her face back down into the ground. The young Tendo winced, rubbing her neck as she rolled over. When she looked up she found Shampoo was already gone, vanishing just as quickly and silently as she had arrived.

In Chapter 2: Poor First Impressions, Ukyo called Akane to tell her that Kaioh Michiru, and Tenoh Haruka arrived at her restaurant only to quickly leave upon seeing Brenda’s true form. The way they reacted caused Ukyo to believe that they were Sailor Senshi. Akane rushed out of the front gate just as Ranma and Ryoga arrived and told them what Ukyo told her. In seconds, the two of them were shooting from rooftop to rooftop at a dead sprint, leaving Akane behind as they raced toward Ucchan's with all the speed of which the two young warriors were capable.

When they found them Ryuoga seeing Sailor Uranus’ sword held at Brenda’s throat, sent her flying off the edge of the building. Sailor Neptune had more time to react so was able to dodge Ryoga’s Shi Shi Hokodan allowing him to stand protectively between them and Beneda. Uranus force herself to attack through the pain, but Ranma arrived just before she could, followed by Akane and Ukyo. Injured and outnumbered five to two they decided that it would be best to escape. Ryoga attempted to follow only to be stopped by Ranma. Calming down Ryoga checked Brenda to make sure she was ok. While a little shaken from rapid turn of events she wasn’t hurt so they decided to head back to the dojo.

In Chapter 3: Heard in Secret, Ukyo was the first to break the silence as they walked back to the dojo asking who the two Senshi were. Brenda explained the Outer Senshi and Inner Senshi to them. she also attempted to appease Ryoga’s anger by explaining that it wasn’t as bad as it looked. While he promised that he wouldn’t go off all half-cocked his fury at Uranus wasn’t lessoned. Once they made it back to the dojo they started planning out their next move. Ultimately it was decided that Ranma would go to Usagi and try to explain that they didn’t mean any harm.

Later Ranma was practicing the Tenryu Tonan to help clear his mind when he was interrupted by Akane. Akane told him about her conversation with Shampoo. Before they could get into it they heard a crash coming from the kitchen. It turned out just to be Kasumi who knocked over a dish while doing some late night cleaning. Relieved that it was something so innocent the two made their way upstairs. It wasn’t until they got to Akane’s room where the Shampoo was brought up again. Ranma’s response was that while he didn’t know what would happen in the future he would marry her. This brought the conversation to their first wedding attempt as well as weather they could get the Senshi to believe them.

In Chapter 4: Failure to Communicate, The next morning against Brenda’s protest it was decided that Ranma would be the one to go to the Juuban to tell the Senshi the whole story. Knowing that there would be no arguing Ukyo gave him one of her flour bombs just in case.

In Chapter 5: The Opening Moves, When Ranma came back with the news that the Sailor Senshi had flatly refused to believe his explanation and still considered "the Dark Lords of Nerima". The group set up in the Tendo's living room as they discussed strategy for the challenge to the Senshi. Since the Senshi still believed that Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo were being control Ranma was sure that Sailor Moon wouldn’t go full out. So they would go after her since her healing attacks wouldn’t affect them. While the rest dealt with the other Senshi. Ryoga under no uncertain terms said that he would deal with the outers. Since Brenda told them it was highly unlikely that Sailor Pluto or Saturn would join the fight they made no plans to deal with them. Akane was getting ready for the fight when she was interrupted by Shampoo who wanted to continue their earlier discussion. Despite Shampoo’s worry that she wouldn’t have a choice Akane trusted her wholeheartedly.

In Chapter 6: Best Laid Plans, Ranma, Shampoo, Mousse, Akane and Kuno assembled in the yard of the Tendo compound, before setting off to the warehouse. The fight was a complete free for all while the Senshi except for Sailor Moon were fighting defensively because of the huge number of combatants no one was able to fully exploit an opening when they gained an upper hand. Realizing this Ranma decided to focus on Mercury so she couldn’t activate anyone’s Jusenkyo curse. With her and the rest of the Senshi busy Akane was able focus on Sailor Moon.

Sailor Chibi-moon attempted to attack Akane only for her to use a chunk of debris to knock her wand out of her hand. Sailor Moon proved to be deceptively fast this combined with her raw, practiced experience made her quite formidable. She still had nothing resembling a chance to go on the offensive allowing Akane to metheodically push her back. Chibi-moon recovered her want in time to prevent Akane from backing her into a corner as she was forced to dodge. Akane used Chibi-moon’s head as a quick springboard to launch herself at Moon. However this time she was stopped by Sailor Venus who launched a bruised and charred Kuno at her.

The two martial artists collided and as Akane tried to push the unconscious kendoist off her Venus’ Chain wrapped around her as well. She was freed when Ranma took a break from drawing Sailor Mercury's fire to toss a Moko Takabisha into Sailor Venus' back, sending her stumbling forward. This gave Sailor Moon the opening she had been waiting for this whole fight. Which was exactly what Akane was counting on: taking the harmless attack in exchange for the opening that she needed. Since she wasn’t brainwashed the attack had no affect on her. Just as Akane was about the perform the finishing blow Sailor Pluto came out of concealment and launched a Dead Scream at her. Akane was only saved by the intervention of Shampoo who stepped in front of the attack.

Sailor Moon tried to check on Shampoo only for Pluto to stand protectively in front of her. She called her out for breaking their promise, but Pluto was unapologetic as it was obvious that Akane was a willing participant. As Moon was interrupted from trying to figure out what to do next by an enraged Ranma plowing into Pluto sending the Senshi flying in an end-over-end tangle of limbs. Ranma never even let Pluto touch the ground as he chased after her with a series of punishing strikes that kept her aloft, while Sailor Moon desperately pleaded for him to stop. The pounding was finally ended when Moon transformed into Princess Serenity the sheer power of which drove Ranma to his knees.

Serenity demanded that Ranma explain himself. With Shampoo hurt Ranma decided that it was best to give up. Sadly Zhang had been watching the fight and chose the moment Serenity accepted Ranma’s surrender to test Unit-Zero. Serenity suddenly started screaming in pain and transformed back into Usagi. As she lay jerking and spasming in a fetal ball on the ground. The other Senshi thinking that the Dark Lords had something to do with it attacked Ranma in a blind rage. Akane picked up the unconscious Kuno and ran towards where Shampoo was sent flying along with everyone else. A grim silence settled over the six martial artists as they tried to figure out what happened. As they were deciding what to do next Mousse informed Ranma that someone was watching them during the fight. realizing that that they had been set up Ranma had Akane wake Kuno up and take Shampoo to Doctor Tofu while he, Konatsu and Mousse track down who ever was watching them.

In Chapter 7: Among the Enemy, Ryouga and Shampoo lay on beds in Doctor Tofu's clinic, as Doctor Tofu and Beneda in her human form stood over them. While the other martial artists from the ill-fated challenge stood clustered around, trying to give the two medical practitioners room while at the same time staying as close as they could. As Brenda and Tofu examined the two Konatsu explained what happened after he, Mousse, and Ranma went after Zhang. Needless to say the girls were furious that the two let Ranma go by himself. Ryoga was able to calm them down but the effort proved to be to taxing. Tofu had Brenda guide everyone out so that he and Shampoo could rest.

After Shampoo and Ryoga tricked Sailor Saturn into healing them and Ranma returned they gathered up everybody to explain what happened. Mousse wanted to head to Tanizaki Heavy Industries right away to expose them but Ranma was against it as not only was the building to search by themselves but they would be expecting it. However Kazuo did let something slip when he told them that he had experimented on every kind of monster the Senshi fought. Meaning that he had found way to unseal the Dark Kingdom. Ranma suggested that it would be easier to investigate that. This news hit hard as she though she was the last of her kind. So demanded that she come along with them.

In Chapter 8: Foes in Need, when the Outer Senshi came to the dojo to talk to Ryoga they were interrupted by the arrival of Happosai who instantly started an all out brawl, made worse by the arrival of Pantyhose Taro. Akane stopped Happosai by throwing his satchel and as he was distracted by the panties shoved a pair of mens boxers in his face, tied him up and threw him into the stratosphere. This caused Pantyhose to focus his rage on her blasting her off her feet and through the house wall. Ryoga rushed to go check on Akane and found her embedded into the wreckage of what had once been the family oven. Akane tried to assure him that she could fight as Genma and Soun crept in having been told by Nabiki of Happosai’s return. When Ryoga told them that Pantyhose Taro was there as well, they decided it would be best for them to get the girls to safety. Not in the mood to listen to their self-justification he just told them them to go while he went back to deal with Taro. While Akane wasn’t happy about this she allowed her father to take her.

In Chapter 10: Ties That Bind, Akane was woken up in the middle of the night by Ranma who told her that Ekim had placed a spell on him to get him to attack one of Sailor Moon’s friends. Feeling the presence resurfacing he warned Akane not to trust anything he said unless she saw heal purify him. After she called the others they made their way to Juban and arrived just in time to help the Senshi against a horde of demons. Akane started to explain that Ranma really wasn’t an evil Dark Lord when a demonic version of Ekim-Ranma burst out of Naru's apartment. Seeing that Ekim-Ranma attempted to use his minions to help him escape but was stopped by Akane and Mousse. Now that she had space Jupiter unleashed her Jupiter Oak Evolution. The tide of the battle changed with the arrival of Helios allowing Tukedo Kamen to transform into Endymion. After the portal was destroyed and they finished off the rest of the horde they saw the light from the Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss. Racing towards it they found an exhausted Sailor Moon and Ranma lying on the ground. A nearly half-dead Endymion went to check on Moon with the help of Konetsu while Mercury studied Ranma-chan as she realized she knew her from somewhere. She nearly passed out upon realizing that she was the girl from Tofu’s clinic. By this point the Inner’s arrived along with Ryoga and Souichi Tomoe.

In Chapter 11: Clearing the Air: After coming to terms with the fact that Ranma was the girl was at Tofu’s Clinic Sailor Mercury asked her why, only to become annoyed when Ranma jokingly kept giving vague answers. Saturn who was healing everyone explained what Ryoga told the outer Senshi. Moon was about to apologize for the misunderstanding when Mar’s remembered the ritual. Luna made her presence known when Ranma didn’t know what Mars was talking about telling him that she heard him and Akane talking about a ritual. Unfortunately this caused his cat fear kicks in and he scrambles up the tallest thing in the area, which happens to be Pluto herself. She tries to keep her dignity while balancing a terrified martial artist on her head.

Realizing that was why Kasumi hid Kuno they took her out of his sight and Ranma was forced to explain to a growingly suspicious Ukyo and Shampoo that he and Akane were getting married. After watching the ensuring fight and Ranma go into Neko-Ken when a cursed Shampoo fell on him Mercury stopped trying to figure out what was going on.

When Ranma suggested that everyone stay at the Tendo Dojo as they would be safer from Tanizaki together Sailor Pluto was against it. While she found his and Ryoga’s explanation to be consistent they not only still an unknown but utterly chaotic. However she was vetoed by Sailor Moon and it was clear the princess had already made up her mind. The trip back to the Tendo dojo via the Tsukino residence was largely uneventful. They packed the Senshi's families into the cars belonging to Mr. Aino, Mr. Tsukino, and Sailor Uranus, while the Senshi and the martial artists escorted them from the rooftops on either side. Everyone was tense, on the lookout for another attack, but none came.

Sailor Moon made a special side trip along with Sailor Neptune, using her Deep Aqua Mirror to track down Naru's mother and bring her along with her daughter as well. Eventually they all arrived at the dojo, and hustled the civilians inside where they were greeted by the fathers and Kasumi. What followed was a haphazard flurry of activity as they all tried to bring some order to the chaos, working out who would sleep where, who would take what watch, and so forth. The Tendo compound was much larger than the Tsukino residence, but with all the extra people things were packed nonetheless. Still, despite the turmoil and uncertainty, everyone was also exhausted, and before long most of them had found a place to grab some much-needed sleep. Bit by bit the Tendo home quieted, until it was largely still.

After most of the inhabitants of the Tendo dojo fell asleep Akane finding herself unable to sleep made her way to the backyard where she found Shampoo. Silence held between the two young women, until Akane spoke thanking Shampoo for saving her life earlier. Shampoo tried to claim that she just didn’t want to lose a fighter, but the lie was too obvious to even bother sustaining. A hollow feeling entered Akane’s stomach she stepped forward and saw that Shampoo was crying. Having had never, ever seen Shampoo this vulnerable before she just stood there, transfixed. Looking past the defenses that were lower now than ever before, she saw a girl sent by her tribe into a foreign land, on an absolute mission that she now knew she could never fulfill. In Shampoo's eyes Akane saw the pain of rejected love, and the shame of failing her people, and the desperate loneliness of having no one in all Japan who even wanted her to win her hopeless struggle for Ranma's heart. Pulling the other girl into a tight embrace she apologized. After a while, she felt Shampoo slowly, gradually relax into the embrace, even wrapping her own arms around Akane as they clung to each other.

In Chapter 13: All Fall Down, The Nerima martial artists and the Senshi were into the conference room to discuss what to do about Tanizaki Kazuo. Pluto and Mercury had come up with four objectives they needed to fulfill. Neutralize Tanizaki as a threat; deal with Ekim, freeing any monsters that were being held captive in his skyscraper, and finally information. Konatsu quickly volunteered with dealing with Ekim as well as to help Ami get to Tanizaki’s computers. Akane was picked along with Sailor Uranus to help guard the Dark Kingdom. Worried about Shampoo Akane asked Ranma to look after her.

In Chapter 14: In the Balance, while Saturn was able to heal Mousse she wasn’t able to get rid of the poison already in his system which his had to metabolize. So as they waited for Doctor Tofu to arrive Shampoo Beneda and Akane watched over him in silence, which was broken by the arrival of Ranma and Mercury. Mercury checked to see if he was stabilized before returning to Usagi.

In Chapter 15: Dreams for Tomorrow, Hotaru watched, fascinated, as Shampoo and Akane sparred. After they were done she asked if she could ever be that good. However the two quickly realized she wanted to know what it was like for Ryoga. Akane suggested that she ask Ryoga to train her as her feelings for him were obvious. The suggestion caused Hotaru finally admit that she did love him. When Ryo woke up he called everyone to the conference room to describe the future he had seen. Sailor Pluto began to panic when Ranma realized that he was talking about the 'Wyrmspawn' as she had seen the aftermath of its last rampage. However Ranma knew how Tanizaki was able to contain it allowing them to come up with a plan. Mercury worked on creating an isolation chamber while the Sailor Senshi and martial artists went about evacuating the neighborhood.

In Chapter 16: Men and Monsters, the Sailor Senshi and martial artists, along with quite a few of the more powerful monsters gathered around a sensory deprivation chamber and they’d set up to lure the Wyrmspawn into and trap. All other injured and non-combatants had been moved through the portal, to keep them safe from the coming battle, and with the help of their allies in the police and JSDF they’d evacuated as much of the surrounding city as possible. Pluto who had seen the carnage the creature could unleash stressed to the group of the seriousness of their situation. Though the Synth offensive showed no sign of weakening, and the number of wounded kept growing. Ranma, Konatsu, Kodachi, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury, along with several of the monsters fighting alongside them, While the ones still fighting were weary from the constant battle. Tuxedo Kamen focused on the most grievously injured which left Beneda to treat those who were in slightly better shape.

The first of the Wyrmspawn's blasts had thrown the defenders into disarray, hammering down on them from above, worsening the injuries of the wounded they were protecting and smashing their defensive formation. It had also hurt the Synths attacking them, of course, but in what had already been a battle of attrition, the damage had put the defenders even closer to defeat. The second blast had turned the tide in the exact opposite direction. In the space of a moment, almost the entirety of the enemy force had been wiped out, leaving nothing behind but a sprawling, desolate wasteland. As they forced themselves back top their feet covered in a mess of soot and sweat and blood and Synth fluids. Shampoo was the first to speak urging them to fight on as the last battered remnants of the enemy force made their final charge.

In Chapter 17: Before the Dawn, Akane found Ranma deep within the winding tunnels of the Dark Kingdom, far from the commonly-used paths. Seeing the guilt tare away at him Akane assured Ranma that despite their parting words Genma knew what making the right choice would mean. When she saw that he was calming down she reminded him about Shampoo and Ranma instantly knew that he had to go talk to her.

In Chapter 18: The Final Gambit, the Nerima Wrecking Crew, the Sailor Senshi along with five lemures, three daimons, a single droid and three youma gathered around Tuxedo Kamen who was carrying Sailor Moon on his back before racing to Tanizaki Heavy Industries. Despite Konatsu preventing the Nameless One from making its sacrifice it was still able to free itself by sacrificing its host Ekim, deciding that if it couldn't get free to consume everything, then at least it would destroy the world instead. The group scattered in different directions everyone running headlong with all the speed they possessed as huge tentacles crashed down from a portal in the sky. Akane and Shampoo fought back to back as hordes of monsters swarmed them. As more and more injuries started to pile on slowing them down Shampoo began shifting her stance subtly, trying to draw more of the creatures' focus to herself feeling that was the only way to solve everything. Akane quickly realized what she was doing and put a stop to it telling Shampoo that they would find a way to make everyone happy and if they couldn’t then they’d make one.
