Astral projection (or astral travel) is a paranormal interpretation of an out-of-body experience achieved either awake or via lucid dreaming or deep meditation. The concept of astral projection assumes the existence of another body, separate from the physical body and capable of traveling to non-physical planes of existence. The Akashik body is composed primarily of Astral energies given coherent form by the mind and imagination. It is patterned to resemble the memory of the real body right down to the cellular level, so it will behave much as the real body while on the elemental planes of being. What is left to the body is the residual and external Astral shell, the part of you that stays in the body unless it is cremated.
However time is of the essence since it is never a good idea to leave the body unattended to for more than twenty minutes while Astral projecting. The body will maintain itself with heartbeat and respiration greatly slowed down to an almost imperceptive level. But once the integrity field begins to fade the autonomic processes will gradually cease to function and the body will die of its own accord, also, the body will be vulnerable to astral possession.
